Located just 45 minutes south of Kansas City in Archie, Missouri, MC Livestock is a Red Angus seedstock and commercial cattle operation dedicated to producing cattle that thrive where it matters most—on fescue. We focus on quality cattle that balance performance, sound structure, and eye appeal, offering growth and maternal strength without sacrificing functionality.
Our cattle are designed to work first, last, and always—built for durability, efficiency, and consistency in commercial environments. We welcome cattlemen to come see the kind that stand the test of time and perform under pressure.

We bought our first commercial Red Angus females in 2012, followed by our first registered females in 2015—and we’ve seen the proof ever since. Red Angus works. Year after year, our Red Angus–influenced calves rise to the top, consistently being our biggest calves at weaning.
Pictured at right is a LACY Legacy 6097 417 steer calf, standing alongside his first-calf heifer dam—a real-world example of the performance, maternal strength, and consistency we expect from our cattle.
Fescue Bred & Raised
At MC Livestock, we’re building cattle the way they’re meant to be built—born, bred, and raised in the heart of fescue country, where real-world conditions separate the good from the great. Our program is rooted in practicality and proven genetics, with cattle that have to go to work for us every single day.
In 2019, we took a major step forward by expanding our purebred Red Angus operation with the purchase of 77 head of registered females from Lacy’s Red Angus. Since then, we’ve continued to grow intentionally through heifer retention and embryo transfer, always with an eye toward long-term progress rather than shortcuts.
We believe in quality over quantity. Foot structure, udder quality, phenotype, and performance are non-negotiables here—because if a cow won’t work for us, she won’t work for our customers.
